Have A Daily Routine

A day in the rich person's mindset starts with a morning routine that sets the tone.

We don't always wake up feeling empowered, focused, and determined, so we have to try to create this in ourselves.

There are three things to focus on in your environment, time and habits. Regarding the environment, have a designated place where you do your work, rather than trying to do it under the duvet.

When it comes to time, aim to get up as early as you can (ensuring that you get at least 7 hours of sleep beforehand).

And regarding habits, try to avoid endless scrolling through your social media feeds first in the morning.

Focus instead of adding things to your routine that makes you feel like your best self – exercise, meditation, motivational music, and healthy foods are all good ways to start your day.

Accept You’re Not Always Right

While a rich person's mindset involves confidence, it also requires a certain flexibility.

If you've ever listened to a person who clearly doesn't know what they're talking about and yet persists with the conversation, you know how transparent this can be – and how it impacts the way others see that person.

Instead of trying to bluff, set yourself the challenge of being honest when you don't know something.

Think of the right questions to ask – the ones that get to the heart of the matter – and direct them to someone with the knowledge.

Rich people are aware there's always more to learn, and that each new bit of learning helps them attract more money and success.

Finding a mentor can enhance this even further, giving you someone to emulate and giving you access to what this person has learned through trial and error.

Look for someone who can play this role for you.

Rich People Have Connections

In addition to having mentors, you will want to develop a network of useful contacts if your aim is to manifest abundance.

Rich people know that their “network is their net worth”, and keep their circle as broad and varied as possible.

Every time you meet someone, ask yourself what you can learn by watching them and file away their contact details for a time you might need them in the future.

In particular, try to connect with people who thrive in their field – even if that field isn't yours.

These are people who may be able to pull strings for you in the future, and who have a whole host of lessons to impart.

To deepen your connections with people, first look for a way that you can help them.

Once you've done this, you'll have their gratitude and they will have a genuine desire to help you with your own goals.

Look For Opportunities

A poor mindset is one where you focus narrowly on what you know from past experience is possible.

On the other hand, a rich mindset is attuned to the possibility of opportunities in just about every situation.

Try to ask yourself how to improve everything you're doing – even the things that work fine, as there's always a way to build on what you have.

What Is A Flow State & How To Induce The Flow Mindset

Perhaps you've heard of people talking about getting into a “flow state”, especially when working or being creative.

This is a seamless, productive state of mind in which you quickly produce some of your best outputs. But how do you induce such a flow state, and can anyone do it?

In this guide, we'll walk you through the process of getting into a flow state.

We'll begin by looking at the basic psychological research on flow states, and by looking at some helpful examples.

From there, we'll turn to how you can get into your own flow state.

We'll explain four major things you need to do, before closing with advice on how you can use your flow state activation skills to get what you want out of life.

What Is Flow In Psychology

What Is Flow In PsychologyLet's begin with the most basic question:

what is a flow state?

Psychologists tell us that it's a mental state in which you feel excited, energized, and totally focused on a task.

It's a state that comes with confidence, and a sense of total devotion to whatever you're doing at that precise moment.

You don't need to push away distractions or force yourself to concentrate – you get “flow” through your work.

The good news is that even if you rarely feel like you're in this state, you can learn use to help you get you into a flow – you just have to learn your triggers.

The Flow State Examples

The Flow State ExamplesWhen asked to think about what it means to be in a happy state, lots of people talk about relaxation and a sense of having no commitments.

However, recent work by Mihaly Csikszentmihaly proves that the best time of your life is much more likely to be a time when you felt challenged and stretched to do something incredibly worthwhile.

So, examples of peak happiness often overlap with being in a flow state.

And these experiences are much more likely to involve moments of focused work and achievement than they are to involve passively receiving something good.

How To Activate Your Flowstate

Now that you know what a flow state involves, and how it's linked to your happiness, let's consider how you get in the flow when you want to.

We're going to discuss four major triggers, along with how you can use them to your advantage and what you can expect to achieve.

You'll get the very best results when you use all four triggers at once, but when you're just starting out you might want to experiment with one trigger at a time so that you can perfect the associated skill.

Work Out Your Bodies Peak Time

Work Out Your Bodies Peak TimeA vital first step is figuring out what's the best time to try and enter a flow state.

There isn't one answer to this question – it depends on your unique biological rhythm, as well as your lifestyle.

What you're looking for here is a time when you have high levels of energy and willpower. Otherwise, your attempt to get into a flow is likely to fail.

The standard starting recommendation is to try getting into a flow state in the morning when you're rested.

However, if you aren't a morning person, try to find a time after you've had a break or a rest – a time when you've recharged your energy.

Make sure that this is a real break, where you meditate, read a book, or just sit in peace.

Remove Distractions

Remove DistractionsStudies show that to get into a flow state, you have to stop all distractions – both external and internal.

Firstly, regarding external distractions, it's smart to put your phone in another room and turn it off or keep it on silent.

Meanwhile, on your laptop or tablet, close all the windows that are unrelated to your current project, and remove anything distracting around you (e.g., photographs, bills, to-do lists, and so on).

Next, regarding internal distractions, mindfulness or breathing exercises can help prepare you for a flow state. In addition, if you find your mind is always busy, try writing a daily journal article earlier in the time to clear your head.

This step is well worth it – research on flow states indicates you need at least 25 minutes to get back into a flow state after you're interrupted.

This Is because of the phenomenon of “attention residue” – in other words, your mind partly stays with your previous task.

One Project At A Time

One Project At A TimeModern society encourages us to multitask, telling us that everything is urgent and that we can only be our best selves if we're replying to emails at the same time as completing a report and talking to a colleague.

However, experts on flow states tell us that you need to be focused on one thing at a time if you're going to get into the most productive headspace. How, then, should you approach this?

Before you even try to get into a flow state, figure out exactly what you're going to do, down to the fine details.

For example, if you're planning a creative writing session, which project will you work on? Are you aiming for a specific word count, or to complete a particular scene?

Are you editing, or writing draft material? Get clear on all of this first, so there are no niggling questions or uncertainties that might hold you back from your flow state.

Have A Clear Goal

Have A Clear GoalFinally, as well as defining your task properly, it's important to know why you're doing what you're doing.

If you don't have a sense of why your task is important or how it helps you fulfill greater goals, your mind is likely to wander.

Further, you're likely to start wondering if another task should be prioritized right now, and this train of thought leads straight to procrastination.

So, think about how your current activity supports your life goals. If you were to say in one sentence why this task matters to you, what would you say?

And what further goal lies beneath that reason? For example, you might say that completing a blog post matters to you because it will help to promote your business on social media.

Underneath that, however, is the fact you want to promote your business because you want to earn a living doing something you love. Tuning into this knowledge will help you focus.

Using Flow State For Boosting Your Manifesting Power

You now know what a flow state involves, how it can boost your achievements, and what you can do in order to easily trigger such a state in yourself.

Just having the ability to go into a flow state can help you manifest the life you desire, as you'll now be better able to spend more time and energy working on the things you know you need to do to attract everything from love to confidence, abundance, and your dream job.

However, if you want to do even more with your newfound skills, why not think about how to use a flow state in Law of Attraction work?

No matter what your chosen life path, you will be more likely to achieve your goal if you turn all of your energy and attention toward your manifestation exercises.

For example, you might deliberately induce a flow state before you write an entry in your gratitude journal, or before you sit down to make a vision board.

You may have heard of the increasingly popular art of Shinrin-Yoku, or forest bathing. Advertised as a way to relax and connect with nature, it is proven to boost your sense of well-being.

But what, exactly, does it involve? And do you really need to go to Japan to do it?

In this introduction to forest bathing, we'll give you everything you need to know to get started. We'll begin with a definition of the practice, then explore where you can forest bathe (both locally and abroad).

We often get stuck comparing ourselves to unrealistic projections we see online, for example, and stepping away allows us to focus more on what we want for ourselves.

It's also very easy to get stuck on social media and news sites, simply scrolling through different pieces of content without ever really being aware of how much time we're losing. Once you've enjoyed the benefits of a technology cleanse to prepare for Shinrin-Yoku, you might find yourself wanting to do it more often.

Crucially, you may be surprised by just how much your self-awareness heightens when you disconnect from the online world.

You'll become more in tune with your thoughts, feelings, and even fleeting physical sensations. This type of mindful state ensures you get the very best from forest bathing.

And, of course, you should carry this digital detox into the forest as well.

You may be tempted to take a camera or your phone to capture beautiful images, but this puts a wall up between yourself and nature so try to resist the urge.

In short, anything that is a distraction should be left at home, short of the things you need for your safety.

For example, you might walk for half an hour and then rest for 10-minute periods before resuming your journey.

Moon Symbols & Phases: Their Meanings On The Life We Live

If you look at the night sky, you'll notice how the moon changes over the weeks. But did you know that some spiritual practices tell us that the moon phases influence our feelings and our potential?

In this guide to phases of the mood and their impact on our lives, we'll first explain the eight distinct phases and how the moon looks in each phase.

We'll also briefly outline why the moon changes appearance throughout the month with the different moon symbols. Then, we'll move on to look at the meaning of these different phases, considering how to make the best out of them whatever your life goals may be.

Finally, we'll note how your new understanding of the moon can complement your attempts to use the Law of Attraction.

What Are Moons Phases?

Before we look at the importance of moon phases, let's consider what they are in the first place.

In the simplest terms, we use eight different terms to describe the different ways the moon looks to us from the earth.

They appear roughly as follows (where the dark part of the emoji signifies the part we can't see from Earth at that time):

🌑 New
🌒 Waxing Crescent
🌓 First Quarter
🌔 Waxing Gibbous
🌕 Full
🌖 Waning Gibbous
🌗 Third Quarter
🌘 Waning Crescent

During a 27-day period, you'll observe all of these phases, as it takes 27 days for the Moon to complete a full orbit around our planet

Why Does The Moon Have Phases?

Why Does The Moon Have Phases?Why, then, does the moon have these phases?

To understand this, we need to look at the science of the moon.

As noted above, it takes 27 days for the moon to orbit the earth.

The part of the moon that is illuminated depends on how much of its orbit the moon has completed.

For example, when all of the illuminated sides of the moon are in view, we're in the full moon phase.

After that, we see progressively less of the moon, until it enters the new moon symbol phase of its orbit where we don't see any of its surface illuminated at all.

This is because, at that stage, the far side of the moon is directly across from the sun.

What Do The Moon Phases Mean?

In ancient times, the moon's phases were linked to different gods and goddesses, largely depending on how much light shone down on our planet during each phase.

And many more contemporary thinkers still believe that each phase of the moon is linked to a distinct meaning and a different kind of universal energy.

By understanding this energy, you may be able to use it to your advantage – especially if you have particular goals that you're trying to turn into reality.

We'll work through each phase in turn, outlining the concepts it is associated with and what that phase is best for accomplishing in your life.

New Moon

New MoonThe New Moon marks the start of a new lunar cycle, occurring every 27 days.

We can't see the moon during this phase, as a new moon occurs when the sun sets behind the moon and only lights the side of the moon directly across from the sun.

The New Moon is associated with making fresh starts and setting new intentions.

Consequently, it's the perfect time for starting a new project or changing an old behavior that no longer serves you.

For example, if you're thinking about trying to give up a habit, change your job or start a new job, the New Moon provides the kind of energy that suits those goals.

And if you have nothing specific in mind, you might still reflect on what you want to achieve over the next month.

Waxing Moon

The Waxing Moon appears as a crescent of light in the night sky. The sun is beginning to move from sitting behind the moon, and as it moves it starts to illuminate the right side of the moon.

The Waxing Moon is linked to a building sense of energy, to making concrete plans, and to increasing confidence.

Many people report feeling at their most self-assured during this phase of the moon, and it's a time for taking the big dreams of the New Moon and turning them into reality.

What needs to happen for you to meet your goals? If you do notice a boost in energy, you can also use this time to make connections and network, whether it's for work or because you're looking for romance

First Quarter

First QuarterThe First Quarter phase arrives when the sun illuminates the entire right side of the moon. From the ground on clear nights, you'll be able to see the clear shape of a half-moon.

One way of describing this phase is to say that the moon is at half power. The First Quarter is a time for self-reflection and for consideration.

If you've started putting new plans to work, the First Quarter invites you to pause and think about how everything is progressing.

Do you need to make any changes? Does your goal still fit with how you feel?

The First Quarter phase is also about celebration, so make sure to take stock of all you have accomplished.

Ask yourself what you are most proud of, and what you can do to mark that achievement (whether it's a new purchase, a day off, or a social celebration).

Waxing Gibbous

Waxing GibbousThe next phase – the Waxing Gibbous – exposes almost all of the moon, apart from a small slice. At this stage, the moon is nearly at the peak of its power.

Experts on the lunar cycle link the Waxing Gibbous with two seemingly contradictory concepts – mindfulness and action.

However, what this really means is you should think carefully about your next moves and do everything with purpose.

More specifically, this is a time to pay a lot of attention to details, both inside yourself and in the external world.

Your intuition will be working especially well at this point in the month, meaning you'll quickly pick up any discomfort or any signs that you should change course.

Meditation and mindfulness exercises are also especially in the Waxing Gibbous phase.

Full Moon

Full MoonThe Full Moon is the real climax of the lunar cycle, with the whole moon bright in the night sky. In ancient times, this is when it would be said that the moon goddess is at the height of her power.

In modern terms, experts on the lunar phases describe the Full Moon is a time of maximal energy that can be used for insight and growth.

If there's something you need to better understand or a leap you need to make, now is the perfect moment.

For example, if you've set an intention to pursue a new career but haven't yet applied for your dream job or training course, the Full Moon provides the confident energy to take this step.

Similarly, if you've been trying to figure out whether a partner is right for you, using diary writing or therapy sessions could offer more insight than usual right now.

Waning Gibbous Moon

Waning Gibbous MoonThe Moon is now gradually becoming less visible, as the Full Moon phase has passed.

We're now in the Waning Gibbous Moon phase, which means that the sun is traveling away from the moon, and the slow removal of light means you'll now see a shadow on the right side of the moon.

This time of the cycle is associated with assessments and reviews, with taking stock and reconsidering.

You may also find that your energy is a little lower and that this makes you more introspective.

If you want to make the best use of this phase, look back at the insights you gained during the Full Moon phase and adjust your current intentions or goals as needed.

And if your aims haven't changed, you can instead scrutinize the steps you're taking to get there.

Third QuarterThird Quarter

The moon is back to half of its power in the Third Quarter phase, with less of the sun's light on its earth-facing side every passing day.

It will be illuminated on the left side only, looking like a half cycle.

Spiritual experts working with the lunar calendar suggest this is a time to let go of things that are holding you back – especially emotional baggage.

If you're moving on from a difficult break-up, say, or holding a grudge, this period of the month invites you to think about what you need to do to stop carrying this pain around with you.

Is there a moon ritual you can perform to symbolize cleansing and moving on? Is there a conversation you need to have? Release anything holding you back.

Waning Moon

Waning MoonFinally, we reach the Waning Moon phase of the lunar cycle, with the moon's power sitting at a very low level. You'll still be able to see a crescent of the left side of the moon, but the rest is no longer lit up by the sun.

You're close to a new beginning, but in this phase, you're invited to attend to self-care and compassion.

If you haven't managed to achieve all you set out to do, take a pause and rest before you redouble your efforts in the next cycle.

Attend to your physical and emotional needs, taking time to yourself if you need it.

Indulge in the things that make you happy, deliberately seek out moments where you appreciate beauty, and reflect on the things you did accomplish this month
